IWC Tranche 1 2018 Results Announced
An Early Christmas Present, Another 8 Awards For Quality
The results were announced this morning for the International Wine Challenge (IWC), tranche 1 - 2018. Our wines have scooped no fewer than eight new awards and we’re absolutely thrilled.
These awards bring our wine range total medals up to 69; these have all been awarded by the most fastidiously judged drinks competitions in the world. It continues to reinforce our philosophy that you can have fantastic quality, highly esteemed wines at affordable, everyday prices.
The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is now in its 34th year. The IWC is accepted as the world's finest and most meticulously judged wine competition which assesses every wine blind and judges each for its faithfulness to style, region and vintage. Throughout the rigorous judging processes, each medal-winning wine is tasted on three separate occasions by at least 10 different judges.
Budge Dhariwal, Managing Director, states, ‘It’s always quite daunting to have our wines tasted by some of world’s top wine experts, but, once again, our wines have not let us down and we’re particularly proud of the award given to Grand Rosé. We are confident that our continued success in such a highly regarded competition as The International Wine Challenge will underline the fact that a Premier Estates Wine is a safe bet when you’re looking for a high quality bottle of wine at an everyday price.’
Our Bronze Medal winners are our Cava Brut & Prosecco Extra Dry. Commendations were awarded to our Australia Chardonnay, California Cabernet Sauvignon, California Chardonnay, Chile Merlot, South Africa Pinotage & our best-selling Grand Rosé.
