At Premier Estates Wine, we’re always trying to find ways to offer brilliant wine deals for our customers. How do we decide upon the best wine deals to offer?

There are a number of factors that our marketing team can consider before working out which wine deals to offer to our customers, and there are also unforeseen circumstances which occasionally occur allowing us to offer a bonus wine deal that we hadn’t planned on offering initially.

Bumper Grape Harvest

We source grapes from some of the world’s finest vineyards to produce our ranges of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines. Often, our partners at some of these vineyards will have a very good seasonal crop of one or more varieties of grape. Our experts verify that the grapes are of the finest quality and are up to our usual high standards, then we negotiate a good price for the grapes and we are able to produce a larger volume than normal of a particular type of wine. This enables us to pass the cost savings on to our customers and offer them great wine deals on the wines we produce with these grapes.

Wine Sales Forecasts

By analysing the current trends in UK wine sales, we can forecast which types of wine are going to be most in demand for a particular season. This may mean that grapes used to make a type of wine where demand is falling, can be obtained for a better price. Once again, we can source the grapes and produce wine at a cost saving which we can pass on to our customers in the form of great wine deals on our website.

Similarly, we can also forecast which types of wine are going to be big sellers in the coming months and we can then confidently produce more of these wines than we would usually produce. As with most industries, the more of a particular product we produce; the lower the costs per unit. We make a saving and we can pass that saving forward to our customers.  

Wine Production Process and Logistics Improvements

Our wine production facilities are state-of-the-art and we have a team of experienced vintners who are constantly exploring different and better ways to produce our wine. When they make a process efficiency improvement our production costs are lowered. Our team also has experienced buyers who are always looking to negotiate the best deals for sundries used in the wine production process, the bottles that our wines end up in and the packaging that our wines are delivered in. Another significant cost to the business is the logistical aspect. The wine has to be transported in the best and most efficient way. Once again, our team is anything but complacent when considering when and how the wine is transported and how wine sold on-line is delivered to our customers.

We always deal fairly with our suppliers as we want to maintain great relationships there too, but equally we want to consistently offer our existing and new customers amazing wine deals. It’s a fine balance which needs constant monitoring but we like to think we’re doing a good job.
